Unique Techniques to Treat Acute and Chronic Pain

Dr. Kenneth Best utilizes a chiropractic technique called Applied Kinesiology (AK) which is a holistic approach that integrates traditional chiropractic with acupuncture meridians, neurolymphatics, neurovascular, cranial-sacral, non-force adjusting, diversified adjusting and many other modalities to focus on your individual needs.  AK is one of the tools that may be used to quickly assess the underlying causes of your acute or chronic pain.  Finding the core problems is essential for eradicating ongoing pain issues.  Dr. Kenneth Best is certified in more than 1,000 hours of Applied Kinesiology.

In addition to AK, Dr. Kenneth Best has mastered several different types of chiropractic techniques: Activator, Diversified, Zone Therapy, Sacro-Occipital Technique, Thompson Technique, Gonstead and Non-Force adjusting.

The Best in Education

Most people don’t realize that a doctor of chiropractic spends a similar amount of hours in education as a medical doctor, and studies many of the same subjects, using the same textbooks.

The main difference is philosophy.

The doctor of chiropractic believes the unencumbered nervous system allows for the body to heal itself better than with the use of drugs. This is why the doctor of chiropractic focuses on the proper movement of all the joints, in the spine and extremities, to facilitate the highest level of nervous system function.  We believe a body that is able communicate effectively with itself can heal itself.

Dr. Kenneth Best has graduated with high honors, Magna Cum Laude, from Cleveland Chiropractic College Los Angeles with a Doctor of Chiropractic.

Dr. Kenneth Best also has an Associate Degree in Basic Sciences from Patten College - Summa Cum Laude; and the degree of BBA Economics from University of San Diego.

Dr. Kenneth Best is certified in the following chiropractic techniques:
AK – International College of Applied Kinesiology
Neuroemotional Technique (NET)
Zone Therapy
Diversified Technique
Activator Technique
Sacro-occipital Technique
Cox Technique
Thompson Technique
Gonstead

More About Chiropractic

Chiropractic is the philosophy, art and science of all things natural, used to reestablish and maintain the well-being of a person via clinical and lifestyle interventions.

This widely-used profession focuses on diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, with special emphasis on the spine.  Chiropractors treat: low back pain, neck pain, thoracic pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ syndrome, hip pain, sacral pain, ankle and foot pain.

Chiropractic focuses on the understanding and correcting the underlying causes of disease in the body, versus the mere naming of any disease or syndrome.  It emphasizes the restoration and maintenance of the inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.

Alternately, treatment involves manual therapy concerned with manipulation of the spine, joints and soft tissue areas.

We may also recommend exercises and health/lifestyle adaptations to prevent back and muscle pain from reoccurring.

I've a been a member of your spa for about 5 months now, and I wanted to tell you all how happy I am with the results. I have noticed a change in my endurance, strength, overall body tone and posture. Just as an example, I went skiing about a month ago in Aspen, and had only skied once before in my life. While my friends were struggling after only a couple of hours, I was able to ski for three days without breaking a sweat. While everyone struggled with soreness the next day, I was the only one still ready to hit the slopes. I remember last time I went skiing (4 years ago) I was the one struggling. I can only attribute this tremendous increase in strength and endurance to FBE.
