Pneumatic Compression Machine
Relax and detox with our full body massage machine which feels like eight hands are working on you at the same time.
Physicians have long prescribed the pneumatic compression machine for treatment of venous and lymphatic disorders. Our lymphatic Pneumatic Compression machine works as a high-tech full body glove, using air pressure to massage the body and accelerate the drainage of toxins from the lymphatic tissue. Repetitive inflation and deflation of the air pressure device allows for compression of body fluids, thereby accelerating circulation of the blood and secretion of tissue fluids. You customize the pressure, for a personalized full body massage that is both completely relaxing and highly functional.
What is the Lymphatic system ?
The lymphatic system is a major part of the immune system. The lymphatic system has three interrelated functions: Removal of excess fluids from the body tissues, absorption of fatty acids and transport of fat, production of immune cells. Lymph movement occurs with low pressure peristalsis, therefor tight clothing can restrict this low pressure peristalsis, thus reducing the removal of wastes and allowing them to accumulate, which leads to edema. The lymph system collaborates with white blood cells in lymph nodes to protect the body from being infected by cancer cells, fungi, viruses or bacteria. Some common causes of swollen lymph nodes include staph infections, infectious mononucleosis and neoplasm, e.g. Hodgkin’s and non’Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and metastasis of cancerous cells via the lymphatic system.

Lymph drainage is an important part of body detoxification and stress management. It can be accomplished through a massage therapist trained in lymph drainage, but FBE Spa members have Pneumatic Compression Equipment available that accomplishes the same result and is much less expensive to use.
Lymph is a protein-rich fluid that can accumulate throughout the body, but is most often found in the legs. The condition is called lymph edema, and is a swelling of soft tissue. It occurs when there is impairment of the body’s natural clearing mechanism. If the body is unable to rid itself of this fluid, thrombosis can be the result, and that can have dire consequences.
Lymph edema can also occur after radical mastectomy and/or radiation treatments. Unchecked stagnant lymph can lead to infection, inflammatory reactions, fibrosis and excessive formation of connective tissues (scleroderma). Once the condition has progressed to fibrotic change, pneumatic compression would have limited success.
Don’t let that happen to you. An early regimen of pneumatic compression massage will ensure your health and well-being for a long time to come.
FBE members, who make Pneumatic Compression Massage, part of their regular regimen, report a deeply relaxing effect that extends into their night’s rest and has made sleep disturbances a thing of the past.
