Yes, “We are the movers and the shakers,” but sometimes it's nice to let our environment shake things up for us a bit. FBE's vibration machines are like an executive workout because these machines do the heavy lifting for you by contracting your muscles at a rate of 25-35 times per second. FBE has two types of whole body vibration machines: Our EOS 6600 is our most popular vibration machine amongst our clients. It provides a comfortable oscillatory vibration and a variety of low impact exercises can be performed on it to maximize the benefits of a normal workout. Our Power Plate machines are probably the most well-known amongst the general public. The Power Plates use vertical displacement and shake the fat right out of your cells helping to visibly reduce cellulite. Vibration energy moves through the body creating instability with each vibration wave. The body is forced to perform involuntary reflexive muscle contractions at a rate of 25-35 times per second. In comparison, when we are weight training and conditioning using external loads like weight machines and free weights, we are voluntarily contracting our muscles at a rate of once perhaps twice a second.

Study 1, entitled: 'The Effect of Whole Body Vibration on Lower Extremity Skin Blood Flow in Normal Subjects' by Everett B. Lohman, Jerroid Scott Petrofsky, Colleen Maloney-Hinds, Holly Betts-Schwab and Donna Thorpe. Study 2 entitled 'The Effect of 30Hz vs 50Hz Passive Vibration and Duration of Vibration on Skin Blood Flow in the Arm.' by Colleen Maloney-Hinds, Jerroid Scott Petrofsky and Grenith Zimmerman.

Only a short massage is needed to get results. After three minutes of massage on a Power Plate® machine, there's an increase in skin blood flow which lasts until at least 10 minutes after treatment. The greatest increase in blood flow actually happens during the first five minutes of massage.
